Russian reporter`s car pelted in Lyons
MOSCOW/PARIS, November 9 - Rioters in the eastern French city of Lyons threw rocks at a Russian TV reporter`s car in the early hours Wednesday.
Ivan Rodionov, a correspondent for government-controlled national television channel Rossiya (RTR), had his car badly damaged in the attack, but sustained no injuries, RTR spokeswoman Yulia Mikhalina said.
According to French reporters who witnessed the incident, rioters attacked Rodionov when they saw him and his colleagues filming burned car wreckage.
This is the second time an RTR crew has been attacked since rioting broke out in France two weeks ago. A similar incident occurred last week in the Parisian suburb of Clichy-sous-Bois, leaving one RTR reporter injured and a camera damaged.
Other foreign reporters have also been repeatedly targeted.
